A record holder and choreographer, Guru, Ashok Kumar is and exponent of Several Classical Dance forms. He has been trained by renowned Gurus which has seen him to become a grade ‘A” artist with, Dooradarshan, Indian National Broadcast and an empanelled artist under ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations)

       He had his initial training in Bharathanatyam from Karanataka Kalashree & Shantala Awardeee Guru. Smt.Radha Sridhar and Miss Banumathi. He pursued Kuchipudi from Karnataka Kalashree Guru. Smt. Sunanda Devi Kathak & Choreography from Karnataka Kalashree & Shantala Awardee Late Guru. Smt. Maya Rao at Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography. Bangalore.

       It is Guru. Ashok Kumar’s Undying dedication and commitment that led him to be the first to train a group of visually impaired students in the field of Classical Dance. His excellent training through the “TOUCH & FEEL TECHNIQUE”, for which he holds a patent, gave them the social identity as dancers. As a pioneer of the technique and for having led them to perform more than a thousand shows in and outside the country, he holds a place in the LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS.
